This website was created by the University of Michigan students and faculty during brilliant lectures and hot discussions in the interdisciplinary seminar which united engineers, environmentalists, economists, health and policy scholars.

The seminar spans discussions on global and regional climate

change, energy production development, the roles of biotic and human

factors in the regulation of environmental balance, and on desired tools and methods for reducing environmental change impacts. The seminar resulted in a better understanding of the consequences of climate change and formulated possible steps to avoid them.

The seminar was designed and led by Natalia Andronova with constant enthusiastic support and help from Jan McAlpine.  Excellent questions from the seminar students challenged the faculty and generated great ideas in the following students’ response papers.
